We are not a middleman. C2W is a British-owned company with engineers, project managers, and QC inspectors employed directly by us on the ground in China since 2005. We contract factories directly, inspect production in person, and operate our own ISO-certified assembly facility. A broker forwards emails; we manage manufacturing.

Quality control is staged through the whole production cycle: pre-production checks on materials, in-line inspections during manufacturing, and pre-shipment inspection before anything leaves the factory. You receive documented QC reports with photographs. Our own facility holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certification and is SEDEX SMETA 4-Pillar approved.

Problems are caught before anything ships. If a pre-shipment inspection finds defects, the goods do not leave the factory. We document the issue, require the supplier to rework or replace the affected units, and re-inspect against the approved golden sample. You review the findings and sign off before the order is released. Catching it in China, not after it has landed with you, is the entire point of having our own team on the ground.

Suppliers sign NDAs before seeing your designs, and we use NNN agreements enforceable under Chinese law. For sensitive products, multi-supplier sourcing means no single factory sees the complete design, with final assembly completed inside our access-controlled Shield Works facility. Your IP is never shared with third parties.

Our typical minimum order value is $10,000 USD. We work with everyone from funded startups to multinational brands, but every project needs clear specifications, realistic quantities, and a workable budget before we commit resources.

Tariffs are a real factor when you outsource manufacturing overseas, and they change often. We give you current, product-specific guidance: country-of-origin considerations, transparent landed costs, and, where it makes sense, the option to diversify production across the wider C2W Group, which manufactures in Vietnam and India as well as China. We plan around tariffs with you, not with blanket promises.

Reviewing your submission costs nothing, and if your project is a fit we will tell you honestly what is realistic. Detailed sourcing, quoting, and engineering work are paid services. We do not do free work; it keeps our advice honest and our attention on serious projects.

Yes. We have in-house 3D printing and partnerships with vetted rapid-prototyping suppliers covering CNC, soft tooling, and pilot runs. Prototyping costs are outlined upfront before any work begins, and golden samples are approved as the reference standard before mass production starts.

We do not take on clothing or footwear, cosmetics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, perishables, counterfeit or knockoff products, highly regulated items such as medical devices or weapons, or dropshipping operations. Submissions in these categories will not be processed.

It depends on the product. A typical path runs from project evaluation through DFM, prototyping, tooling, and into mass production. Once we have assessed your specifications, we provide a realistic timeline, and we tell you if your target date is not achievable.
